Veni, vidi, fodi. (I came, I saw, I dug)

Having never been built to survive Martian arctic winter (& the weight of all that CO2 ice), a signal is, alas, unlikely.
This is what the twitter MarsPhoenix page says, but still, next Monday the orbiter will pass over the Mars Phoenix lander and attempt to listen to any signal it may still be sending after all.

If that doesn't work it may send some radio signals to it around March to try to "wake it up".
